Wollersheim Winery’s Port Wine Celebration is in four weeks, Jan. 26, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. See how Wollersheim makes its red and white Port wines, sample them and hear insights from winemaker Philippe Coquard. Enjoy live music and light refreshments. Admission is free.
Wollersheim’s vineyard along the Wisconsin River is one of seven designated eagle-viewing areas in Sauk Prairie.
Consider a one-hour guided eagle watching bus tour at 10:00 a.m. Jan. 26, hosted by Ferry Bluff Eagle Council volunteers. Call the Sauk Prairie Chamber Of Commerce at 800-68EAGLE to reserve a seat, they fill quickly. Tickets are $5.00 per person.
You’ll also find volunteers at the Ferry Bluff Eagle Council Overlook in downtown Prairie du Sac, Wis., on Saturdays and Sundays in January from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to answer your questions as you peer through the spotting scopes.
