Schedule an early November respite to recharge your batteries before the holidays. We have vacancies the first weekend in November 2013.
By day hike through a colorful carpet of leaves on trails around the Inn and see the sky full of birds. The first two weeks in November are the peak of fall bird migration in Wisconsin. See our earlier article below for the best birding spots around Baraboo, Wis.
In the evening enjoy our wine and cheese hour where we serve award-winning Wisconsin cheeses and Wollersheim wines, tantalizing appetizers and other beverages before your dinner at a favorite restaurant. Then enjoy an evening of music:
Nov. 1: The Dang-Its at the River Arts On Water Gallery, Prairie du Sac, 7:00 p.m. Returning to meet demand! Its approach is roots oriented, clear, soaring vocal harmonies. Gritty alt-country, jazzy western swing, whisper-quiet ballads, and an off-the-beaten track repertoire with expertly crafted original music with a few classics. A mix that will connect with any audience. No advance ticket sales, donations are recommended at the door to benefit the River Arts Inc. programming. Learn more at www.riverartsonwater.org.
Nov. 1: Ritt Deitz Concert at the Village Booksmith, 7:30 p.m., historic downtown Baraboo. Originals, folk-blues and traditional songs, Ritt’s band and his music are “earthy, ethereal and intelligent”. Donations welcome. An eclectic, used bookstore with used, new and rare books and more. Fellowship and refreshments. Call 608-355-1001 for more information or visit villagebooksmith.com.
